Full Time Veterinary Client Care Specialist

We are currently seeking a professional, enthusiastic full time Veterinary Client Care Specialist (CCS) for our feline-only hospital. A CCS's primary responsibility is to promote our hospital's mission of exceptional customer service while creating a caring, welcoming impression. CCSs must be accurate, thorough, detail-oriented, and maintain a smooth, well-planned, and orderly flow of clients and patients. CCSs are a pivotal part of the team and should exhibit a willingness to learn about veterinary care and confidence in the quality of health care we provide. This role requires the ability to develop a rapport with our clients, by being friendly and knowledgeable, that creates positive first and last impressions resulting in long-term relationships with our hospital.

Great CCSs must truly enjoy assisting diverse clients and possess the qualities and skills necessary to successfully manage stressful situations. This includes being empathetic toward emotional and/or grieving individuals, actively listening, employing tact, and maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.

The CCS position involves the ability to expertly handle multiple responsibilities with many interruptions: answering phones, recognizing emergencies, scheduling appointments and surgeries, generating new clientele, managing digital and paper medical records, greeting clients and escorting them to exam rooms, reviewing treatment plans with clients, answering questions about our products and services, encouraging client compliance, and acting as a liaison between the client and the veterinarian.

Applicants must be passionate about working in a feline only veterinary hospital.

Our hospital, opened in 2011, is located in beautiful Boise, Idaho. We are just minutes away from the Boise River, and Boise offers something for everyone—whether you are urban or outdoorsy. Your local Cat Friendly Practice

We are excited to announce that we have recently earned the designation of 'Cat Friendly Practice' by the American Association of Feline Practitioners. At Boise Cat Clinic we strive to provide cats and their families with the best care possible, and becoming a Cat Friendly Practice was the perfect opportunity to continue to elevate our standards of care. To earn this designation, we had to demonstrate a higher level of commitment and excellence in feline medicine as well as meet specific criteria to verify that staff members are especially qualified and dedicated to making every visit as pleasant and beneficial as possible for you and your cat.

In a recent study* it was found that many cat owners feel a high amount of anxiety surrounding a visit to the veterinarian, from coaxing an unwilling cat into a carrier to bringing them into an unfamiliar environment. That's where we can help!
